Consumer Contracts

Consumer contracts are afforded unique protections under the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) and its state law derivatives. Under 2-103 of the Uniform Commercial Code, a "consumer contract" is an agreement between a merchant seller and a "consumer," who is an individual who buys or contracts to buy goods that are intended for personal, family, or household use.
