U.S. Small Claims Court

Depending on state law, small claims courts are limited to claims for damages ranging from $2,500 to $15,000. The types of cases tried in small claims courts are also limited, and include damages from fender benders, disputes over security deposits, and claims based on bad checks. Because the procedures in small claims courts are not as complex as in other courts, you may be able to file and present your cases quickly and cheaply, without a lawyer.

Hi. I''m trying to determine what the phrase "within 15 days" means.
For example, if I purchased something Dec 19th and had "within 15 days" from the date of purchase, to pay in total, until what date would I have to pay? Would it be Jan 2nd? How are the days counted? 19, 20, 21....1, 2 OR 20, 21, 22...1, 2, 3? Thanks for your input.
