Putting It in Writing Should Help.

My sister died without a will, and without any money to pay her final bills. I paid for her funeral even though I had to borrow the money. Now I am receiving bills/letters from different businesses she owed money to. I have responded that I am not legally responsible for her bills and there is no money to pay them. What can I do to stop receiving the statements?

Tell It to the DOL!

I work as a sub for a company that pays me 10.00 per hour and was told that I would not be paid overtime,I work in the hours of 50 to 60 hours per week and should I be paid overtime. Not straight time.

Prove it!

Was just contacted by Capital One. They say they just purchased a financial institute and found that I owe $800 from a credit card purchase in February 1994. I recalled I did have a card way back then and owed about $150 maybe and paid it off. This has been many years for me to remember all details. What must I do? I do not want to pay something I do not owe, I cannot afford this.

Stop the Stop Payment!

Is is illegal to have a check written out to you and a stop payment is made? What would my recourse be if that is done?

No More Debtor's Prison!

Can you go to jail if you do not pay your payday loan.
